In the last week of September, the City of Porto, in Portugal, was the European Capital of Water and Innovation.<\/p>\n

Porto Water Innovation Week 2017 promoted three major events bringing together 1,500 people, including executives and managers, political leaders, regulators, industry and agriculture representatives, researchers, technology companies, startups, SMEs and investors.<\/p>\n

One of these events, the European Innovation Partnership Water Conference 2017, was attended by the architect Carolina Nunes. The architect from Blumenau, Santa Catarina State, was invited to participate in the panel of Portuguese-speaking countries.<\/p>\n

The panel was led by Alexandra Serra, president of the Portuguese Water Partnership (PPA), which promotes dialogue, cooperation, innovation, opportunities and experiences, aiming at the internationalization of companies in the sector. The debate was led by Manuel Alvarinho, President of the Water Supply Regulatory Council of Mozambique. The environmental engineer Ang\u00e9lica Azevedo, of the Galp energy conglomerate, was also invited to this session.<\/p>\n

The EIP Water Conference brought together international voices and thought leaders on water and innovation. Carolina is in Munich, Germany, as a participant in the German Chancellor Fellowship program.<\/p>\n

Carolina also participated in the Water Innovation Lab, that aims to develop future water leaders. The WIL is a promotion of the Canadian organization Waterlution, also the promoter of WIL Brasil, that takes place from November 4 to 10 in S\u00e3o Paulo.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
