This will be the theme of the webinar promoted by the Brazilians from Humanität and the Portuguese from the Planning and Public Policy Laboratory of the University of Aveiro.

“Covid-19 highlighted issues that were already hot topics, such as new ways of working, mobility, housing and use of public spaces. How will cities change, and how will people relate to them from now on? The webinar aims to discuss this context with creative professionals who are already linked to these changes”, explains Carolina Nunes, architect of urban ecosystems at Humanität.

The first panel, moderated by the architect, will address the new urban context. The speakers, Alex Lima (CEO Glóbulo) and João Seixas (Universidade Nova de Lisboa) will discuss topics such as sustainability, social integration and new ways of working. The second panel, moderated by Professor José C. Mota, from the University of Aveiro, will discuss urban mobility. Diogo Machado (CEO Original.Market) and João Aroso (CEO Advertio) will address remote work, business meetings, culture and art, delivery companies and the contrast between hypermobility and immobility.

“Covid-19 put us into the house. In many countries, people are prohibited from going out to work or to go to school. In a few weeks, the world of hypermobility at work, business and leisure changed completely and became immobility, it is expected to be temporary. But what will come after the pandemic, and how far will the changes stay and revolutionize mobility in cities? ”, adds the professor.

Each panel will last approximately 1 hour, providing time for interaction with the audience at the end of each debate. The event will be broadcast live on the page of the Planning and Public Policies Laboratory on Facebook.

WEBINAR
What: Brazil-Portugal Webinar (free):
Use, design and plan the post-Covid-19 city
When: 08/04, 13:30 (Brazil) and 17:30 (Portugal)
Where: facebook.com/laboratoriodeplaneamento

Panel 1:
New urban conditions
Moderator: Carolina Nunes, architect of urban ecosystems at Humanität
Speakers: Alex Lima (CEO Glóbulo) and João Seixas (Universidade Nova de Lisboa)
Panel 2:
Mobility, Hypermobility and Immobility
Moderator: José C.
