Walter Binder, German specialist in river restoration, was in Brazil in the 90’s. At that time, the importance of the rivers and the water was not a concern. As German beer was a recurring subject, he explained that quality of water was essential for good beer. “I can understand that”, the journalist replied.

The Amper is a stream on whose banks we can find a park for leisure and preservation. It was quite curious to find the Amper beer, produced with the waters of the river itself. “Heimat is, wo´s Bier schmeckt!” – Home is where beer tastes, says the brewery.
